Our Youth Cooking Workshops offer your child a day of fun at the Y!

We will spend the morning learning recipes and cooking in our teaching kitchen, eat what we make for lunch, and spend the afternoon playing games in the gym, swimming and doing crafts.

While in the kitchen, we focus on basic cooking skills, kitchen safety best-practices and a specialized menu. Each participant will go home with a copy of the day’s recipes.

Child care is available both before and after class for a fee.

We set a pace where no one is left behind and welcome all to come and find community while staying active.

Our Wellness Center is equipped with free weights, Cybex® equipment, & a variety of cardiovascular equipment.

Our Center

I miss the YMCA because ever since starting my journey back in August 2016. I initially went there to try lose some weight since I’ve been overweight from the age of 15. I dropped 80 lbs within the first 1.5 years just working out on the machines and walking outside on the trail every day. I fell in love with exercising and thought I would try a group class, even though I didn’t know what to expect I tried a class and the instructor made me feel welcome and I kept going back and figured I would try a different group class, and eventually fell in love with taking all the group classes and getting in the best shape of my life. I signed up for personal training to try and build some muscle and was able to get stronger as well. I finally decided to payback the Y for changing me, and I now work at my local YMCA, and have also signed up for Les Mills BodyAttack training as it’s my favorite exercise class, and I would live to help others achieve the success that I have received.
