PARKING LOT CLOSING DEC. 2
Beginning Dec. 2
Support the Intercollegiate YMCA while getting some work done around the house! Our fall clean program is our annual fundraiser to help support our Intercollegiate work throughout the year. Some of the programs that benefit from the funds raised is our free after school programs that we run in low income neighborhoods across Indianapolis as well as scholarships for our service trips that we lead each year for college students.
Our fall clean program will provide 3-4 students to come to your house to perform household chores/projects such as the ones listed below.
• Leaf cleanup / Yardwork
• Cleaning and Organizing
• Hanging holiday decorations
• Whatever you need!
A DONATION OF $175 WILL COVER 3 HOURS OF WORK PERFORMED BY INTERCOLLEGIATE YMCA VOLUNTEERS. The volunteer times are typically from 10:00-1:00 on the designated Saturday. Once you register, you will hear from the Intercollegiate YMCA with more information and next steps.
Join a group for a 30 minute walk to rejuvenate your spirit, mind and body. Enjoy the social and physical benefits of meeting with a group and being in motion.
We set a pace where no one is left behind and welcome all to come and find community while staying active.
This activity is FREE to Y members.
Get ready for fall with friends, good drinks and great fun for a good cause.
The YMCA at the Athenaeum will be partnering with our friends from Sun King Brewing for a charity trivia night. This event will benefit the YMCA at the Athenaeum’s Breakfast with Santa event, which provides children and their families from local domestic violence and homeless shelters a chance to celebrate the holiday together.
$1 of every drink sold will be donated back to the YMCA’s Breakfast with Santa event on Dec. 14. So sharpen your trivia skills and gather your team for a night out you won’t forget! Must be 21 or over to attend. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trivia winners!
Holidays can be stressful! Whether it’s buying gifts, making meals, caring for others, traveling, or difficult dynamics with family members, we can all benefit from some self-care to prepare us for the season.
In this Stress Management Workshop, you’ll learn practical tools to manage stress and anxiety. There will be time to learn among a supportive community and explore anxiety-reducing techniques that incorporate mindfulness, deep breathing, and gentle movement.
