Underdawg 5K supports Indy College Students & Neighbors
The Intercollegiate YMCA is changing Indianapolis by connecting college students from UIndy, Butler, IUPUI, and Ivy Tech to service opportunities that IMPACT our community, INFLUENCES change, and teaches them to INTEGRATE service into their life after college.
The students we engage provide free after school and day camp programs to youth in low-income apartment communities that ensure academic success, improve behavior through positive mentoring, and change their attitude towards their education. This program has contributed to an increase in overall grades and test scores, as well as played a part in the reduction of youth-involved crime in the communities.
Help us continue these programs!
Your support through the 5K will help us continue our programs and allow us to expand in more communities and change the lives of youth and college students across Indianapolis.
Don’t stop now! Check out all of the races in the YMCA Inspire Indy 5K Series.
All members are welcome to join us as we recognize outstanding community leaders, volunteers, and YMCA staff who are helping to make our Fishers community a vibrant place to live, grow and thrive.

Come in costume, take a hayride to Camp Mudsock, make a s’mores snack, trick or treat (for trinkets), make a craft, and get your face painted! Register for a time slot (or a sensory-friendly option) to enjoy all of these activities and more!
Upon arrival registered participants will check-in at the front desk and receive a map detailing all of the festivities. This event is rain or shine, as refreshments and many offerings are held inside the Y, including games, bounce house, face painting/temporary tattoos, crafts, a photo booth, as well as a quieter room with sensory-play activities.
Attendees will exit the side of the building for a short hayride that drops them off at the entrance to the woods, where they are welcome to trick or treat, make s’mores, and enjoy a puppet show in Camp Mudsock behind the Fishers YMCA.
Select the time frame that works best for your family; this enables us to keep the hallways and rooms safe for all our little visitors.
