YMCA of Greater Indianapolis invites you to submit your responses to the RFI (request for information) for food services for their Early Learning Programs. The purpose of this RFI is to identify food services companies that can satisfy the key requirements/needs of YMCA of Greater Indianapolis’ Early Learning Program centers.
YMCA of Greater Indianapolis has partnered with SpendBridge Advisory Services to help facilitate this sourcing effort for these proposals.
Vendor Qualifications:
- Must be a well-established, financially stable organization and have an adequate number of trained personnel to ensure quality and completion of contract
- Must adhere to “Buy American” as outlined in USDA Food and Nutrition Service Procurement Article 210.21
- Must provide Child Nutrition Labels and Equivalences for all products included
Program Details: The Early Learning Program includes seven locations, with a range of 20-100 children per location. Three locations require food services for 10-months (i.e. school calendar), while the remaining four locations will require services for 12-months. Each location has on-site refrigeration; however, four locations will require warming units.
Evaluation: This RFI will be evaluated on the responses provided and the company’s expressed ability to meet the requirements as outlined below.
Timeline of Proposal Process (subject to change based on responses received)
- 7/29/2022 – 8/4/2022: RFI Submissions being accepted; Invitations to bid will be sent based on RFI responses.
- 8/8/2022: Notify Vendors of Next Steps
YMCA of Greater Indianapolis reserves the right to allow respondents to update or revise their responses.
- Responses must be sent via email to purchasing@indymca.org. The body of the email must include the following information:
- Vendor’s Name
- Contact’s Name, Phone and Email
- Whether or not the vendor qualifies as an xBE (Woman, Minority or Veteran Owned Business)
