We’re proud to introduce the Downtown Indy Ys Virtual 5K!
This race is brand new to the lineup of YMCA 5Ks in the Inspire Indy 5K Series presented by Delta.
Exercise your heart in more ways than one with this event. All participants get a race shirt and race proceeds benefit and will be split among the three Downtown Indy YMCAs:
- Irsay Family YMCA at CityWay
- YMCA at the City Market
- YMCA at the Athenaeum
PARTICIPATION HELPS THE Y OFFER PROGRAMS SO EVERYONE IN GREATER INDIANAPOLIS CAN ACHIEVE AND MAINTAIN A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE.
The Downtown Indy Ys Virtual 5K can be run anywhere at anytime from April 15th-May 31st, a suggested route would be this one (see below) as it takes the runner past all three Downtown Ys.
On April 27, 2019 the YMCA will celebrate Healthy Kids Day, our national initiative to improve the health and well-being of kids.
The Fishers Y is free and open to the public from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Saturday. We welcome newcomers and everyone who calls our community home to stop in and say hello! If you’ve already visited the Y this year on a guest pass, you’re welcome to enjoy the facility again!
Come participate in all the that Y has to offer you and your family:
- Wellness Center, ALL DAY
- Open Swim
- Group Exercises Classes, 7:30 a.m. – Noon
- Kids Night Out ($$), 5-10 PM
Test your limits! This lifting competition is for males and females 18+ and winners will be based on weight coefficient. Each athlete will have three attempts to lift their max bench press weight. Wrist wraps are allowed but no other equipment can be used for assistance. Register by April 6 to guarantee a t-shirt!

These one-day training clinics will focus on fine tuning the young athlete’s fundamentals. Coach Phillips will ensure that every child leaves these clinics a better player than when they started. Training is designed to:
– Increase confidence in ball handling, shooting, defense and court awareness
– Improve footwork, hand quickness and hand-eye coordination
– Improve lateral quickness, reaction and short burst quickness
– Improve agility, quickness and reaction time
– Improve focus and explosiveness
– Available for ages 5 – 14
Two sessions to choose from: April 7 and/or May 5
Ages 5-9 · 11:30 – 12:30
Ages 10 – 14 · 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.
