HANG UP THE BRIEFCASE, DITCH THE CUBICLE AND GET INTO THE GAME AT OUR CORPORATE DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT!

Take the afternoon off work and head over to the Irsay Family YMCA for the best office team builder in town! Our 1-day 5 vs. 5 corporate dodgeball tournament will bring out your inner kid again while blowing off some steam from work. So ditch your cubicle and grab your co-workers for this awesome night out!

  • Round robin format followed by single elimination tournament
  • Team plaques awarded to tournament champions
  • Ages 18+
  • 3 games guaranteed!
  • $100 per team

3rd Annual YMCA Cycle-A-Thon – Select your local Y below to register! @ All 12 YMCA of Greater Indianapolis locations

RIDE FOR A CAUSE! Participants ride for one hour under the direction of our enthusiastic YMCA staff. Each registrant will receive a T-shirt and are given the tools to raise extra funds to help support local YMCA programs for those who could not otherwise afford them.

Create an individual homepage before or during registration to earn extra incentives when you raise (including your registration fee) $50, $100, $250 and $500 or  $1,000+! Share your team with friends and family to support your ride!

Multiple hour long sessions available at each YMCA (each additional session counts toward the swag prizes!)

Bring the entire family as you taste delicious food, play cultural games, and enjoy authentic performances from all over the world at this FREE community event! The World Fair is a wonderful way to learn about different cultures and traditions of countries around the world, without leaving the warmth of Fishers High School. This event is completely free and open to the public. We can’t wait to see you there!

The Aging Mastery Program® (AMP) encourages mastery—developing behaviors across many dimensions that will lead to improved health, stronger financial security, and overall well-being.

By participating in this program, you will:

  • Make and maintain small but impactful changes in your health behaviors, financial well-being, and enrichment in later life.
  • Get REAL incentives and rewards for taking small steps that can improve your well-being.
  • Meet new friends, provide support and encouragement to your peers, and become more involved in your community.

February 25, 2019 – Navigating Longer Lives: The Basics of Aging Mastery

Introduction to the program and its philosophy with a special emphasis on the new realities of aging, making the most of the gift of longevity, and taking small steps to improve health, financial well-being, social connectedness, and overall quality of life.

 

March 4, 2019 – Exercise and You

Discussion of the importance of exercising both the mind and the body with a focus on strategies for incorporating meditation, aerobics, strengthening, flexibility, and balance into daily routines.

 

March 11, 2019 – Sleep

Overview of how sleep patterns change as we age, the importance of monitoring the sleep cycle, and simple strategies to improve sleep.  

 

March 18, 2019 – Healthy Eating and Hydration

Review of nutrition as it relates to aging with a focus on strategies for incorporating healthy eating and hydration into daily routines.

 

March 25, 2019 – Financial Fitness

Introduction to strategies for remaining economically secure in an era of longevity with an emphasis on setting financial goals and setting financial boundaries with friends and families.

 

April 1, 2019 – Advance Planning

Guidance around key steps needed to manage health care, financial, and housing/care decisions with a focus on considering the role of personal values and beliefs in these decisions.

 

April 8, 2019 – Healthy Relationships

Exploration of the benefits of being socially active, as well as the risks of isolation with a focus on practical strategies for continuing to build and strengthen friendships and family connections as we age.

 

April 15, 2019 – Medication Management

Best practices on how to take medications as directed, how to store medications safely, and how to keep track of multiple medications.

 

April 22, 2019 Community Engagement

Introduction to the value of continuing contribution and small acts of kindness with a focus on identifying personal aptitudes for meaningful volunteer and civic opportunities.

 

April 29, 2019 Falls Prevention

Overview of the importance of falls prevention among older adults along with strategies to prevent falling.
