Car Free Day Indy

Commuter Connect is hosting the fourth annual Car Free Day Indy celebration on Friday, Sept. 20. The day is designed to encourage carpools and other forms of sustainable transportation. If you take the online pledge at carfreedayindy.com/pledge to carpool, vanpool, bike, walk or take the bus that day, you’ll be entered to win great prizes.
If you work in downtown Indy, stop by Cummins Plaza, 301 E. Market St., from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and grab breakfast on your way to work. You’ll join others who believe in the power of ridesharing and/or leaving the car at home, and you’ll get free coffee and bagels while they last. Then, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., head to Monument Circle for lunch and celebrate with music, info tables, and free Chick-fil-A while it lasts.
Train with the Y
Train for your ride outside when the weather is nice or come to the Y! Jump on a stationary bike, treadmill or cycle, run and walk with friends. Find the class for you on your local Y’s Group Exercise schedule.
