Monster Meetings

The Monster Meetings were an iconic lecture series that began in 1904 and spanned more than 60 years. These meetings were instrumental in providing a platform for the community to hear and share messages centered around the political, social, racial and economic systems impacting African Americans. In light of the current political, social and racial climate, the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis recognizes the importance of elevating these discussions and are committed to reigniting and reimagining these historic discussions.
