Johnetta Springer is learning a balanced life

Johnnetta Springer is a wife, mother of five children, full-time student, and part-time hair stylist. With such a busy life, Johnnetta found it difficult to stay consistent with working out and training, but she was ready to turn that all around and make time for herself.

Johnnetta first heard about the YMCA through family members and started to work out on her own for the first few months. When she wanted to continue her journey of health and wellness, Johnnetta started Personal Training at the YMCA with Kenny Mosley.

Within 6 months of working out alongside Kenny, Johnnetta lost nearly 20 pounds and dropped from a size 12 to a size 8. She has even said that this experience has made her, "stronger than I’ve ever been, and I have finally managed to be consistent and to balance my life by the grace of God. Mind, body, and spirit, I am in a much better place than I was before I began this fitness journey."

Johnnetta has not only committed to working out but also eating healthier because she wants to keep a healthy heart and a healthy balanced lifestyle, but she also "believes that in order to be truly successful in making a total body transformation and to live a healthier lifestyle, I have to be dedicated and determined to no longer make excuses as to why I can’t work out."
