Your Membership Fuels Our Impact

Dear YMCA Family:

The mission of the Y is bigger than a building, and we are asking you to please stay with us during this time by continuing to invest in your membership. Our YMCA is committed to supporting your well-being and responding to the challenges facing our community during this difficult time, and we look forward to reopening our doors for you in the near future. In the meantime, our dedicated staff are fully committed to providing you opportunities to stay connected, active and healthy, including:

  • An expanded Les Mills Virtual offering for members only
  • YMCA 360 and your favorite instructors’ workouts through our website, Facebook and You Tube
  • A fun “Social Fitnessing” challenge through our YMCA of Greater Indianapolis app, free through the Apple Store or Google Play Store
  • Daily devotions, family activities, tips and more on our app and virtual schedule
  • Virtual wellness advisor appointments to provide advice and encouragement to help you stay on track (email changemylife@indymca.org for more information)
  • Chronic Disease Prevention programs and a soon to be released virtual weight management program

Your membership fuels our impact, and your continued support will sustain our ability to provide life-changing services when we reopen, while helping us care for our staff, develop innovative programming, and maintain our facilities while they are closed. In addition, we want to share with you some important work your loyalty is helping accomplish during this time of community need, including:

  • Emergency childcare for our community’s most essential workers, first responders and hospital employees
  • YMCA staff outreach to our senior members during this time of social isolation
  • Blood drive and food distribution sites, partnering with local businesses and nonprofits
  • Emergency fund for supporting part-time YMCA staff with pressing needs

We are grateful for the many members who reaffirmed their commitment to the YMCA and for those who have called and joined the Y, even while our facilities are closed. We also understand not everyone is in a position during this time to continue their membership. Please click here if you would like to place your membership on hold, and we will look forward to welcoming you back when we resume normal operations.

In addition, charitable donations help us bring these services to our community in times of need and make our programs accessible all year long to those who would not otherwise be able to afford them. If you would like to support these efforts, please consider making a donation today by clicking here.

Thank you for your continued support and prayers for our YMCA community and for our community at large as we rise together to meet these challenges, and for doing all you can to keep yourself and those you love safe and healthy.
