Christmas in July Benefits Underserved Families in Indy

July 20, 2018
NEWS + STORIES

For 20 years, the Y at the Athenaeum’s Breakfast With Santa has provided a memorable experience for guests from area homeless and domestic violence shelters, as well as under served neighborhoods. You can help make Christmas possible again this year for over 450 children and parents in Central Indiana.

Registered families enjoy a buffet-style breakfast at the Rathskeller followed by crafts and entertainment. During the event, parents slip away to select a gift, stuff a stocking and choose a book for every child. Secretly, the children do the same for their parents. The hallmark of this program gives parent the role of the giver and the ability to celebrate the holiday when they choose.

Santa and his elves can't do it alone!

An event this large and impactful is a big job. Celebrate Christmas in July with us by making a donation to help offset costs for toys, food and supplies. From July 23 - Aug. 10, visit our Amazon Wish List to donate a toy online or pick an ornament off our Christmas tree the YMCA at the Athenaeum to purchase a gift at your favorite local retail store. Your gifts will provide an unforgettable Christmas experience to underprivileged children in Indianapolis.

Our goal is to put 50 gifts under the tree! Will you help?

Ways to Give

Thank you to our sponsors, FirstPerson, Cline, Farrell, Christie, & Lee, and the Rathskeller! Their support, along with yours, will make this year's Breakfast with Santa truly special.
