Join the staff, volunteers and sponsors for Breakfast with Santa at the YMCA at the Athenaeum on December 8!
In its 22nd year, the YMCA at the Athenaeum’s Breakfast with Santa on Dec. 8 will provide a memorable experience for guests from area homeless and domestic violence shelters, as well as underserved neighborhoods thanks to hard work from nearly 150 volunteers and donors just like you!
Registered families will enjoy a buffet-style breakfast in the Rathskeller followed by crafts and entertainment. During the event, parents slip away to select a gift, stuff a stocking, and choose a book for every child. Secretly, the children do the same for their parents. It’s the hallmark of this program that gives the parent the role of the giver and the ability to celebrate when they choose. Donors, volunteers, sponsors and YMCA staff have been working hard since early summer to make Christmas possible again this year for over 450 children and parents in Central Indiana and we still need your help!
Santa and his elves can’t do it alone!
An event this large and impactful is a big job. Give back this holiday season by making a donation to help offset costs for toys, food and supplies. You can also visit our Amazon Wish List to donate a toy online or pick an ornament off our Christmas tree the YMCA at the Athenaeum to purchase a gift at your favorite local retail store. You can also drop unwrapped gifts from our wishlist off at the offices of our sponsors at Cline, Farrell, Christie and Lee at 951 N. Delaware St. in November.
Watch our video to learn how you can help with this year’s event!
Our goal is to have 600 gifts donated so each child can receive 2 gifts to make their holidays even more memorable. Your gifts will provide an unforgettable Christmas experience to underprivileged children in Indianapolis, so please make your donation or contribution today!
