Working in a small group, survivors increase muscle mass, strength, flexibility and endurance, while also improving their confidence and self-esteem. One of 5 Prevention Programs LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is one of five Chronic Disease Prevention Programs offered by the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis year-round. The other programs help people tackle diabetes, arthritis, fall prevention and blood-pressure monitoring. The Diabetes Prevention Program begins at 9 YMCA locations in June as well.
