Cause-driven activities that also promote health and fitness

There is so much to do in November to remind you that the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is bigger than a building. We’re proud to serve and offer programming for the over 120,000 veterans and military service members in Central Indiana. Our vision is to be a leader of veteran wellness and provide opportunities for veterans and military service members to connect and engage with each other and their communities.

We’re also about health, fitness and community-based activities that provide an environment where everyone can participate. The information below highlights some of the events that will be happening around Greater Indianapolis.

Out of state, want to sleep in, or prefer to run whenever you want? You have the option to run the official Gobble Gallop 5K course virtually with the RaceJoy app or complete a course of your choosing.

Wishbone 5K
Fishers YMCA
8 a.m. at Fisher YMCA

The Wishbone 5K Run/Walk is an annual signature Thanksgiving event for the entire community and it helps to subsidize memberships, programs, summer camp and before/after school care. This year we’re celebrating 12 years of families coming together for a morning of fitness and fun. Since the race began in 2011, nearly $450,000 has been raised to ensure that no one is sent away from the YMCA due to the inability to pay.

There will be an in-person and virtual/at-home option this year, so get ready to run for a great cause.

Virtual 5K participants can run this race anywhere at any time between 11/25 and 12/25.
