YMCA of Greater Indianapolis Designated in Mackenzie Scott Philanthropic Gifts

On December 15, philanthropist Mackenzie Scott announced 384 gifts to non-profit organizations throughout the US. The YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is among 43 YMCA associations to benefit from her philanthropy.

We are both honored and grateful for Mackenzie Scott’s belief in the work of our YMCA.

Her generous gift will help stabilize our infrastructure, accelerate our recovery and allow us to invest in strategic priorities to improve the long-term well-being of children and families throughout greater Indianapolis. Ongoing investments from our annual donors remain critical. Their support, combined with Mackenzie Scott’s transformational contribution, will ensure that those in need can access critical Y services. Our Strategic Leadership Team is working diligently to develop plans for how this gift should be invested to advance the mission of the Y in response to the challenges faced by those we serve.
