Challenge your cardiovascular and strength by combining boxing, kickboxing, martial arts using body weight, heavy bag, and partner work. This format offers a series of drills and challenges designed to help you improve agility and speed. Great for cross-training, this workout provides a unique mix of functional training and cardio to challenge the whole body. Gloves are provided, however, we do encourage you to bring your own and/or hand wraps.

T.E.A.M. Endurance, a part of the Y’s Small Group Training (SGT) portfolio, shows that endurance has never been more fun. This intense class uses a circuit format to get your heart rate up and keep it up. Strap on heart-rate monitors and improve your fitness and cardio endurance through intervals on bikes, rowers, and self-powered treadmills. This class has beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Challenge fellow team members as you work together to improve your cardiovascular endurance. In this SGT environment, you’ll enjoy a small class setting and supportive team atmosphere.

Take your training up a notch with this combination-style muscle-strength/muscle-endurance format. Incorporate Olympic-style lifting while learning proper technique and form. In this SGT environment, you’ll enjoy a smaller class setting and supportive team atmosphere.

The YMCA's Small Group Training (SGT) Program is for people who want an extra edge in their training. Instructor "coaches" challenge small teams of 6 to 12 people to achieve a higher level of athleticism, endurance, and stamina in a supportive TEAM environment.
