EGYM+
With EGYM+, members receive access to 8 additional programs. These programs include:
The Rehab Fit training program is a lower intensity program designed to address existing problems, recover after an injury or prehab. It is gentle on the joints by starting with a low to moderate weight to minimize the risk of injury from excessive strain.
The Muscle Building training goal is designed to maximize muscle growth using high intensity loads and slow movement speeds.
The Athletic training goal is designed to improve power and performance by increasing the makeup of fast-twitch (Type 2) muscle fibers. This program trains the body to react to changes in the environment quickly: for instance, stepping off a curb you didn’t notice and instead of falling, catching yourself and maintaining balance. Not only do athletes need to improve fast twitch muscle fibers, but elderly need to maintain as much as possible. As we4 age, muscle mass declines, and specifically the fast twitch type. Neuromuscular improvement is the goal of this program.
The General Fitness training goal is designed to create a foundational baseline for those new to strength training and to provide a steady progression over time to increase strength and power. With a variety of training methods, the user is exposed to different types of training in which different stimuli and outcomes will be evident.
The Weight Loss training goal is designed to maximize calorie consumption and improve fat metabolism over the long term. The combination of intense muscle building phases, provide for an increased basal metabolic rate; therefore, increasing the non-activity calorie burn necessary for sustained weight loss.
The Body Toning program combines strength endurance and hypertrophy training for optimal body definition. The training program is designed to tone and firm your figure, burn fat deposits, and define muscles–and get your body into the shape you desire. The aim of Body Toning is to permanently reduce body fat and strengthen muscles without significantly increasing muscle size.
The Metabolic Fit program is specifically designed for those with blood glucose control issues (Type 2 diabetes, prediabetics) to improve glucose control.
The Immune Boost program activates immune boosting function of your muscles. During training, muscles produce substances that protect us from disease by stimulating production of common immune cells. This program has a unique intensity and progression targeted to stimulate immunosupportive conditions and help our body combat contagions.
