The Y is for Social Responsibility and the Ransburg YMCA has 4 unique ways for you to give back to the community during the holidays and show your support.
1) Once again this year we will have the Giving Tree near the front desk for families that need assistance this Christmas. Grab an ornament to purchase a gift for a deserving family member. You can also help by donating gift wrap and / or volunteering to help wrap the purchased gifts. Contact Tammy Stevens / Ashley Tandy with any questions.
2) Give and make your heart stronger! The Y’s Annual Campaign provides assistance to make memberships affordable to everyone. It also helps families to be able to enroll their children in programs like youth sports and swim lessons. If you would like to give to help those in need, we are running an ENVELOPE CHALLENGE this month. Just pick up an envelope in the dollar amount of your choice and donate that amount to the Y at the Member Services Desk. For any questions or more information, contact Cecily Taylor.
3) Looking for gift ideas this holiday season? Give the gift of health with a Y gift certificate. This thoughtful gift can help pay for personal training sessions, Before and After School Programs, swim lessons or sports programs. Purchase your gift certificate today.
4) Tuesday, Nov. 28 is Giving Tuesday across the country. When considering making a charitable donation on this day, please think about giving to the Ransburg YMCA! Your tax-deductible donation will help a child learn to swim or a senior stay independent and active. To donate, click here. Thank you in advance!
Any Ransburg member ages 55 years old and up, who scans his / her card a minimum of 16 times between Nov. 1 and Dec. 15 will receive a FREE t-shirt! Stay active! If you have any questions, kindly contact Brenda Miller.
Boost your productivity, metabolism and overall health by standing and / or walking on the new worktop treadmill at the Ransburg Y. Use our FREE streaming WI-FI to stay connected to the office, but also stay active. This treadmill is only a demo, so come in & try it before it is too late!
