At the Ransburg YMCA, sports and recreational activities are always available year-round. With the vast number of sports offered, we want to create an environment that focuses on a healthy lifestyle, confidence building, developing new skills, and teamwork.
Learn a new sport or enhance your current skills through the sports programs and clinics offered year-round at the Y. And the variety of our sports programming will help individuals make healthy choices, build relationships, and improve their physical condition. More importantly, the supportive environment that surrounds the YMCA leads to an enjoyable time and participants see the benefits of being healthy and active.

Interactive skill development lead by the YMCA’s best youth basketball coaches. YMCA basketball clinics will help prepare your athlete for wherever basketball will take them, by developing a “love” of the sport. Through positive reinforcement, skill development, and coach interaction our clinics will enhance each player’s desire for basketball, while teaching proper techniques for future achievement. Athletes will run through various skill drills to improve their agility and sharpen their practice skills. Each clinic will practice one time a week for 4 weeks.View Days & Times
Athletes have the opportunities to practice and refine their soccer skills through a games-centered teaching approach lead by the YMCA’s best youth soccer coaches. Soccer clinics focus on developing the heart of the sports. Through positive reinforcement and coach interaction our clinics will enhance each player’s desire for soccer, while teaching proper soccer techniques for future soccer achievement. Throughout our various Soccer Clinics, you will work on various techniques and skills based on your age and level, some of these techniques include dribbling, passing, receiving, shielding, and shooting. Each session will have practice once a week for 4 weeks.View Days & Times
Is your child a runner? Does he/she want to improve their abilities?
Then the Y’s Track / Cross Country Training program will keep your child running down the right path.
Not only will the running drills and flexibility training help young runners improve their technique, especially for running long distances, but will help improve their coordination for other sports as well. Our cross country program will compete in our All City Cross Country Meet, and have three dual meets that will be held on Saturdays. YMCA GIRLS BASKETBALL IS DESIGNED TO GIVE PARTICIPANTS THE CHANCE TO DEVELOP THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS IN A POSITIVE AND HIGHLY INSTRUCTIONAL ENVIRONMENT.
League will focus on skill development and the fundamentals of basketball.
(ages 8-9, 10-13) Girls Only
We will have practice one day week, to be determined at the parent meeting. Not able to attend? All your team and league information can be found at the Member Services desk, following the parent meeting.
Game days are on Saturdays from 9am to 4pm; times will vary based on age group. All games will be played at your local YMCA Center.
Each participant will receive a shirt on their first day of games.
We are always in need of volunteer coaches. If you have any interest in volunteering, please talk to us at Member Services or contact your Center’s Sports Director.

Emphasizes flexibility, stamina, balance and coordination. Enhances confidence, discipline and physical fitness. Uniform and sparring pads may be purchased from instructor at first class (an additional cost through instructor). Class time determined by instructor’s evaluation. Learn all the fundamentals of dance your child will need to go further in dance! From Ballet to Hip Hop your child will increase their skill, learn terminology and develop technique and rhythm! In this class your child will learn cartwheels, forward rolls, straddle rolls and jumps. Participants will receive progress sheets at the end of the session. Classes will have an emphasis on cheer driven tumbling.View Days & Times

Tumbling Classes you’ll flip for!
We teach athletes to tumble, run, jump and twist in our program while helping them to develop muscular strength, flexibility and body awareness. Our programs are designed to provide a safe, nurturing environment for athletes to develop tumbling skills, as well as the four YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
