The YMCA of Greater Indianapolis and JCC Indianapolis are thrilled to announce a new partnership bringing together two mission-driven organizations dedicated to health, wellness and community. This collaboration extends access to fitness and wellness services for members of both organizations—strengthening the bonds of community and expanding opportunities for all.
Beginning this April, JCC members will be welcomed at YMCA facilities on days when the JCC is closed or closes early. In turn, YMCA members will be able to enjoy JCC amenities when the Y has reduced hours or closures. This reciprocal access ensures that members can continue to pursue their wellness goals without interruption, while also connecting with new spaces and faces across Indianapolis.
“We are deeply excited to offer this expanded access to both of our communities,” said Linda Server, YMCA of Greater Indianapolis Vice President Member Experience and Engagement. “At the heart of this partnership is a shared commitment to inclusivity, health and meaningful human connection. Together, we are building a more supportive and welcoming Indianapolis.”
The partnership will be particularly impactful at the Jordan YMCA due to its proximity to the JCC, but all YMCA centers across the city are ready to extend a warm welcome. Both the YMCA and the Jewish Community Center offer state-of-the-art wellness equipment and dynamic gym and pool spaces, providing members with exceptional opportunities to support their health and well-being.
“We look forward to this meaningful collaboration and the opportunity to strengthen the spirit of community across all of our centers,” said Rich Lord, JCC Senior Director of Member Experience.
The first opportunity to welcome JCC members will be Saturday, April 12, when the JCC closes at 3 p.m. Additional upcoming dates include Sunday, April 13 and Saturday, April 19, when the JCC will be fully closed. The YMCA will be fully closed for Easter on Sunday, April 20.
