Our story is a century in the making.
A long history sets the scene for this wellness center where opportunity and community abound.
Center Features
Located on a former military base, the Benjamin Harrison YMCA has turned a decommissioned property into an asset for the entire community. In its 100+ year history, the fort has served both as an athletic facility for the army and as the athlete village for the 1987 Pan Am Games. Now, it serves those living in and around Lawrence.
Explore the wellness center, featuring dozens of cardio and Cybex® strength machines, plus a fully equipped free weight area. Sample from a variety of group exercise classes. Join a game in one of two full-court gymnasiums. Discover sport leagues for all ages. Or go for a swim in the outdoor pool or one of two indoor pools.
The center also features a Play & Learn Center with an indoor play structure.
