For more than 25 years, the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis Holiday Toy Drive has helped thousands of local families share in the joy of the holiday season. Thanks to the kindness of our donors, volunteers and community partners, this tradition has brought smiles to children and support to families across our community.
In 2026, we’re building on that tradition with the YMCA Annual Holiday Hope and Resource Event.
More Than Holiday Gifts
Holiday gifts can bring joy to a child, but families may need support throughout the year, too. This new event will bring holiday giving together with connections to community resources that can help families with everyday needs.
Through partnerships with local organizations, we’re working to connect families with resources related to food assistance, utility support, community health workers and more.
The goal is to build stronger relationships with families and help them find support that can make a difference beyond the holiday season.
Building a Stronger Community Together
This year, the event will serve 150 families selected by six designated community partner organizations. These partners will select families from their existing family databases, allowing the YMCA to take a more personal approach to holiday giving and community support.
While the event will look different from years past, the heart behind it remains the same. We believe every family deserves to feel supported, connected and cared for.
This new approach reflects the YMCA’s commitment to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. When we work together to support families, we help build a stronger community for everyone.
