Dance/Cheer/Gymnastics Programs

Love to dance? Come learn the latest line dances to the most current music for a great cardio workout. Country line dancing fun for all! No partner required.

Let’s get in formation! Avondale Meadow’s dance program for girls ages 12-17 years old. Come learn the new dances of today and group routines. Dance is exercise and develops coordination and self-confidence.

Basic introduction to classical ballet and tap. This class will not only focus on technique, strengthening and stretching but also ballet vocabulary and class etiquette. Dancers will increase their understanding through music, diverse dance exercises, and better understanding of alignment.

We foster an upbeat environment in which kids learn the rhythmic styles of hip hop and jazz dance. Dance is an energetic and expressive way to get a great workout while gaining a sense of discipline.

Come learn the art of cheerleading! Learn skills and the fundamentals of cheerleading, stunts, tumbling, and team camaraderie.

Participants on the YMCA gymnastics team learn more than the gymnastics skills it takes to enter a competition, they learn high ethical standards as well as the responsibilities of dedication and commitment. The lessons learned from being a part of the team include the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect & responsibility.
