YMCA events honors veterans and will culminate with the unveiling of a remarkable 8-foot Salute!

sculpture on Nov. 10 at the OrthoIndy Foundation YMCA, scheduled to open Dec. 3.

Commissioned by the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis and the Indianapolis Arts Council, sculptor Clay Enoch of the National Sculptor’s Guild will speak at the public ceremony along with military dignitaries, veterans and YMCA leaders.

Fitness, support for veterans

The YMCA honors veterans by offering many programs for veterans, including a 20 percent subsidy on Y membership for veterans, military service men and women and their families. The OrthoIndy Foundation Y will be the first in the nation to house a VA medical clinic on site, offering veterans a host of opportunities for wellness and reintegration into the community.
