Programs & Activities

We believe in offering programs as diverse as the people we serve. Which means an unparalleled selection of classes and activities—everything from foreign language classes to summer camp—is out there, just waiting for you and your family to explore.


Youth and adults can learn a new sport or enhance your current skills through the wide variety of recreational and competitive sports programs and clinics offered year-round at the Y. We offer Basketball, Soccer, Futsul, Football, Baseball, Softball, T-Ball, Dance, Cheer, Gymnastics, Volleyball, Pickleball and Martial Arts - just to mention a few.

Aquatics / Swim Lessons

Safety, Confidence, Life skills. Fun. The YMCA is the leader of swim instruction, and we have pools at 8 locations to serve you. In this section, you'll find info on Swim Lessons, Swim Teams, Swim Clinics, Water Fitness, Certifications and Training, and much more. Day Camps

When school is out, we are in! YMCA Youth Development provides safe and enriching care for school-age children during school breaks (spring/fall break), holidays, and, of course, Summer Day Camp!

Overnight Camp

Are you ready to get the full, pack-your-bags, sleep-in-a-cabin experience and join the fun of the YMCA overnight camps this summer or for other special weekends throughout the year? Time spent at the Flat Rock River YMCA Camp at the beautiful Ruth Lilly YMCA Outdoor Center provides just that!

Before & After School

We know parents' schedules don't always match school days off. The Y offers online enrollment for continuous care throughout the school year, including Before & After School care, School's Out Camp, and care during inclement weather.

Child Care, Early Learning & Preschool

Healthy development starts early for children, and that’s why at the YMCA, we care for the health and well being of your child. In this nurturing environment your child is encouraged to play, learn, and grow.

Group Exercise, Personal & Small Group Training

From Exercise Classes like yoga, cycle, boot camp, Zumba and Les Mills BodyPump, to Personal and Small Group Training, the Y is committed to helping our community live healthy lifestyles. Chronic Disease Prevention

The YMCA offers community-based healthy aging and chronic disease prevention programs and services to support the needs of our community, including: the Diabetes Prevention Program, Blood Pressure Self Monitoring, LiveSTRONG (for cancer survivors), and Enhance Fitness (for Arthritis management).


The YMCA wants to help your child form lasting friendships, build character, and strengthen core values through a variety of programs, sports, and activities!


We offer programs and activities geared to help teens gain personal growth, find their inner leadership, and to think beyond themselves through service to others and social development.


Fitness classes and wellness programs are offered through the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis to help create healthy habits and promote physical activity. We focus on offering programs and classes for all skill levels in order for you to find the perfect fit.


We believe that spending time together as a family includes participating in fun activities, supporting each other through healthy living, and knowing you’re in a safe environment that will always be there for you.
