Camp day rotations take place from 9am – 4pm. Please make sure your child is dropped off by 9am to enjoy all of the day’s scheduled activities. Learn more about a typical camp day schedule in our Family Packet.

Add-on enrichment & sports clinics and camp swim lessons are available for an additional fee.

CCDF vouchers are not accepted at this camp location. The closest locations that accepts CCDF vouchers is the Jordan YMCA.

Camper drop-off/pick- up will take place at the backyard on the backside of the building- look for the YMCA sign.

Please bring a lunch, two snacks, a refillable water bottle, swimsuit, towel, and a bag for wet clothes. On hot days, water games may be played, so campers should pack a swimsuit even on the days when they are not scheduled to swim. Please wear clothes that can get dirty and closed-toe shoes. It is recommended to send your child with a backpack to keep all their belongings together. Please label all items!

Campers at Traditional Camp locations will have scheduled pool time throughout the week. Please check the weekly ParentSquare newsletters for specific times at your child’s camp location. All campers that swim will participate in swim tests with the YMCA Aquatics Staff. Please let us know if you have any concerns with your child’s swimming abilities. All pools will be guarded by YMCA certified lifeguards. All campers should bring their swimsuit and towel every day as water is sure to be a part of many activities this summer! Please make sure your child’s name is clearly marked on all items (clothing, swimsuits, towels, etc.).  

Camp swim lessons are also available for an additional fee. Camp staff will walk enrolled campers to lessons and back to camp again.

Camp is held rain or shine! In the event of severe weather, children will be brought into the Intergenerational Room inside the YMCA. Parents will be notified via ParentSquare if the drop off or pick up location changes!

Rainy day activities will be planned by the camp staff to help make these days fun. Please send extra clothes with your camper, raincoat or a poncho, but please do not send umbrellas.

Watch for announcements in your ParentSquare weekly newsletters about family events and plan to attend. Along with being a lot of fun, family events offer parents the opportunity to interact wit their child’s camp counselor team! 

The YMCA will provide transportation for all field trips and enrichment clinics that require travel. By enrolling in the Enrichment Clinics, you are giving permission for the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis to safely transport your child to and from their clinic location. 

What are the Bus Rules? 

1. Campers must remain in their seats with their backs and bottoms touching the seats at all times. 
2. Campers must keep their voices at an appropriate level. 
3. Campers may not put anything (including body parts) outside of the bus windows. 
4. Campers must behave respectfully and use appropriate language. 
5. No eating or drinking on the bus (except when permitted by camp staff and transportation company).  

All Campers must follow the directions of the driver and camp staff at all times.
