The YMCA of Greater Indianapolis offers Competitive Swim Programs to help you take your skills to the next level and build your confidence in and out of the pool. Recreational and competitive programs are offered to provide an opportunity to work with trained coaches, improve swimming skills, gain endurance, and promote a healthy lifestyle.
Enjoy an evening out – just you adults – while the kids have fun in play & learn. The evening includes crafts, games, dinner, physical activities and lots of fun! Registration required. 1st & 3rd Saturday of each month, 5-10pm
Style, poise, posture, rhythm, movement, and discipline are taught in these beginner and advanced dance classes.
Intro to Ballet
We teach athletes to tumble, run, jump and twist in our program while helping them to develop muscular strength, flexibility and body awareness. Our programs are designed to provide a safe, nurturing environment for athletes to develop tumbling skills, as well as the four YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. You’ll love the combination of quality tumbling and fun provided by our highly qualified staff! Classes meet one day per week.

Learning a martial art builds lifelong skills. It’s a great way to improve coordination and focus, refine agility and motor skills along with goal-setting and focus skills. Students in this traditional martial arts program maintain a healthy lifestyle, get a whole-body workout, relieve stress and develop self-defense skills in a non-competitive, welcoming environment.
Youth participating in basketball activities can be a great form of exercise that also helps form team-building skills and a sense of community.

Youth Soccer is an exciting sport combining team play and individual skills.
TRACK & FIELD & CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS
Track & Field This program puts emphasis on skill development and sportsmanship. Athletes ages 4-12 who are are looking to improve running technique and coordination in the Track & Field events, or gain endurance for another sport, this is for you!
Cross Country The YMCA cross country program emphasizes skill development and sportsmanship. Athletes will spend a 7 week season developing a training base and progressing to temp training, hills, and speed work. Athletes will learn race strategy, sportsmanship and running safety.
Developmental Basketball Clinics
Athletes will learn the rules of the game, terminology, and will run through various skill drills and agilities to develop fundamental skills, improve their footwork, and sharpen their practice skills during the off season.
Developmental Baseball, T-Ball, Softball Clinics
Our clinics focus on helping athletes, who are new to the sport, build the fundamental baseball skills, such as throwing, batting, field play, and general game procedures.

Adult sports leagues & classes offer a great way to exercise, socialize, and compete. Whether you are looking for a competitive game or a more casual experience the Y has a league or class to keep you active and having fun.
Work with a certified trainer, review goals, and develop a customized exercise program to meet your needs. Your trainer will guide you through each exercise offering feedback, motivation, and accountability.
