Personal Training Gave Rico More Energy, Better Health during compete to lose

October 30, 2017
NEWS + STORIES
I have been a truck driver for over 10 years and have seen myself decline. Over the 10 years I have gained 100 pounds and have noticed my activity level decline. I had no energy to play with my daughter or help around the house. I have also noticed that my body has become stiffer over the years.
I started out by participating in Compete to Lose. I wanted to lose weight and get back into shape to keep up with my kids. I also wanted to make sure that I didn’t get any diseases from being overweight like Diabetes or cardiac issues. At first I felt like I was not going to be able to finish our sessions, however Anthony’s attitude always gives me motivation to finish my workout. I have learned a lot from the time of being here.

A fun, motivating trainer during compete to lose

Anthony is a fun and motivating trainer. He makes working out fun and challenging at the same time. When I come in I don’t think about how hard it is because he adds an element of fun to it. He is always mixing it up with a variety of workouts. Anthony is always correcting my form, and I have found myself correcting my form now even without him.

Keeping up with the kids

In the past 2 and a half months, I have lost 37 pounds and dropped several pant sizes. I have also noticed that I am able to keep up with my kids at home. I feel like I have more energy during the day. Training with Anthony keeps me accountable and active. I can feel my body changing. My wife has even said that she sees the difference as well. I have learned a lot and have even begun to get my kids to be more active with me.
Compete to lose was more than a competition for Rico. It changed his energy and health and helped for a better family life. Compete to Lose is just one of our many programs to help members lose weight and be healthy.
